Hi I am Jared and this is Denim Jelly. Mostly food and home driven posts but expect to see other amazing things I find out in the world - it's a place to celebrate the people I love, and there will be lots of laughing. I hope you will enjoy reading, sharing, and using this site as much as I love making it.  I want it to be accessible, inspirational, fun, and silly.  If you aren't smiling I'm doing it wrong.  There will be great recipes, fun finds, DIY projects, pics of my dog Gracie, links to all my friends' amazing things they are making, and a bite of humor.  If I had to sum it up I would say it's honestly fabulous.

What does DENIM JELLY mean?

Well...If I have to give a thoughtful answer I'll probably roll my eyes right along with you but people seem to need it to mean something (I just thought it sounded cool). It started out as a code name for my project while I got my shit together. Then I launched it as an Instagram hashtag as way to sort of lazily blog with photos before I built the site. So I guess I'm stuck with it.  But I love the name.  Now that I have had time to think about it I have cracked the code so you can all chill the fuck out. Here it goes.  I like the range that both denim and jelly can offer. Denim is casual, comfortable, easy - but can be stylish, expensive, and fabulous. It goes from the boardroom to the barrio.  Jelly is the same - you see it between two pieces of Wonder Bread or next to fancy cheeses on a board at a chic restaurant.  I like to feel that I am both fierce and a hot mess all in the same moment.  It's part of my charm.  But I'm just getting started and still figuring it all out, so just go with it and enjoy! That's Denim Jelly.
